Shielding & Welding

There are two main types of shielding gases: inert gases and semi-inert gases. Inert gases, such as argon and helium, do not react with other elements. Semi-inert gases, such as carbon dioxide and oxygen, can react with other elements, but they are often used in small quantities to improve the properties of the weld.
